Plan B?
So, I got my final CGPA for my foundation. I got to maintain my GPA quite well. (Thank god it still in the 3 pointer). With that, I can continue my bachelor degree. But in what kind of major? Like I said I will continue with English major.
After finishing my foundation for 1 year, I have around 5 months of holiday. Hahaha what a life!!!! That is very long hiatus holiday. Oh God! So, I decided to get a temporary job. I got to work at a company that publish a website to handle all sorts of supplier for building. Well, I became a researcher. Every day I have to make a call (who I called? : developer, architect, consultants, engineer, contractor and more). It was kind of a challenge that I took. Get to talk to the person that involve in making a building (mall, housing area, Soho, apartment, shop lots, office building). Some of it was like the infrastructure kind of work (piping, LRTA, road, wire…). The more I think about it, the funnier it looks like. Why? Lol, to talk to all this “big” people, I have to know what to ask and what I want to get from them. Different people in charge have a different role in every project, so I may have to change how I talk with different people. For example, If I am talking to an architect, I have to ask about the approval of the design, then how it is going to be built, bla bla bla… The hardest people to talk are their developer. This is because sometimes they run a very big project so; some of the people in charge were so busy with appointment and meeting. Leh! *let’s give them a big clap because of them going to all those meetings, I can’t get any information and yeah! I can’t finish my work. Well, one day at least I have to handle 10 projects. Bahhh!!! Anyway, it was a good experience. Actually, before I start my foundation I already work in the company for 2 months and as I had a lot of free time after the foundation, so I work there around 3 months. It was great, but stress for some times. My boss was so kind to me. There was a day where all the entire people in the office get to have some family time together in the capital city. (All sponsors by the company). Okay. What a job.
Huhuhuhu, I’m out of topic, I guess. What should I apply for my degree since there were eight choices. Hmm. At the end, I made my decision. The top 3 I chose an English major (literature) because “I’m lovin it”. But… But… at the bottom of my heart, I got this feeling saying I have things that I get interested too. Social science. Social science. What on earth I got interested in this field?. It started when one of my study-mate introduced me about social science career. Wow! It was interesting. I love all of it. That moment I felt that “can I combine my major with this field?”. It’s possible you know. I didn’t tell this to anyone about me liking a different major. So, my 6th, 7th, and 8th choices, I chose social science field. (If I’m not mistaken, I chose, International relation, some kind of cognitive and anthropology & sociology)
This is my decision. I make it and I have to face it. Applying to further your studies are like thinking whether you are going to jump off the cliff or going to dive without equipment. Nah. I just exaggerate it. Anyway, any university that chose me, I will consider it and whatever course or major I got, I must take it as my opportunity to study, to serve myself, family, friends, society, community and aliens.
