Flashing back my memory. Wow I actually love and enjoying making origami so much. I love making flowers and 3D origami since my early high school year. It is one of my precious hobby. Well maybe I have so much free time. Guess so..
Can I tell you what did with origami? This is like going to the memory lane where I did a project during my foundation year. This project is under the Computer Literacy course where I have to create an education product. So, let me introduce it.
Introduction
Task 3, Individual Work, Education Product. For this project, I am required to create an educational product through the use of application software. I choose Movie Maker to construct and demonstrate my product for the mass market for variety of people. Furthermore, I choose to do a tutorial of origami as my product for this educational project. The origin of origami is from Japan. Ori means fold and Gami means paper. So, origami actually means folded paper. There are variety of shapes, colours and types of origami. For this project I did a Kusudama Flower Origami. It is simple and easy to make. This tutorial is made for all ages. There are 2 generation that I refer to which is young and old. The young generation consists of kids and teenagers. By watching and practicing my tutorial, they will be able to develop their mind in a creative way. Other than that, teenagers can spend 5 to 10 minute doing origami to release stress and sharing their creativity with their friends to make a better quality time. Meanwhile, the older generations consists of adult and older people. Some adult are so busy working and forgot to have spend their times with their family. Origami can help them to be more aware of their youngster at home. For instance, they can have an “origami time” every Saturday with their kids. Then, a few older people nowadays, suffer from Alzheimer’s disease. So, if they practice doing the origami, their brain might be active. To conclude, I think my product is good in the educational prospect.
Objectives
- To enhance the creativity of people in general but it is recommended to younger generation.
- To develop the imagination of kids so that they can be artistic.
- To create a better free time and help to release stress among students.
- To help older people brain active while doing this activity
METHODS
To fulfil the requirements for this educational product’s report, I have done some activities such as recording the product myself, do the example for the audience, and search the material from the internet. First and foremost, I tend to do this product by making a video using movie maker. Next, I had recorded myself the product to show to the audience. I used Sony camera with 12.5 Mega Pixel. Other than that, I also did some examples to make the audience more clear about the purpose to do the educational product and make them more interested in making and learning my product. I had made variety of example to boost their creativity while doing my product. Then, I had also searched some examples and material from the internet so that I can refer too and learn from it. For instance, YouTube tutorial and other people blogs. It is necessary to me to make a survey or learn from other before I do the educational product so that I can master the product that I had made. Thus, all this method that I had used are very useful to me to complete the task given.

The result that I get is a quality educational product for every gander and ages. The kids can now make their own origami and give them excitement while doing it because I had included some music at the background of my video. By doing this actually can give them an effective input and output in the learning style. Moreover, teenager can spend 5 to 6 minute by watching this educational product and it actually can release their stress from all the collage and class assignment. This product will teach the teenager to be calm and do something that very useful to increase metabolism in our mind and brain. Lastly, I had included subtitles in this video means that my video is voiceless but it can make the kids, teenagers and adults to learn not only by listening but also can read and recite what I had taught them in the video.
